Send Report as .PDF via e-mail

I need to send out a report, but as a pdf file (Adobe Acrobat). I have a button that sends my report via e-mail but I cant find out how to send it in a pdf format

I have a database where reports are sent out in PDF format. The way to do it is to have your button print your report to print preview, then change the selected printer to PDF printer. The file should be sent to a default directory and then you must attach the file to your email. There may be an easier way but that is the way we are currently doing it.
