Sometimes a mail merge is powered by a query that could be stored in your access database. This is a static query which cannot be changed and is bound to the document.
Now what i was thinking was if i built the sql statement in vb.net, and open the mailmerge document sending through the query to the document so that it can be used as the datasource...
We have a good number of mail merge letters here. We have a system that pulls relevant data, formats, and processes it, then spits out a delimited text file. The mail merge template points at that text file. We have a few luxeries though, all of our users had an H: drive, so we can run all of the text files out to a processing folder on that drive and we don't have to worry about attaching the source at run time.
