Hi,
We recently installed a Linux server (Redhat Enterprise Server) for our Oracle database. Oracle has the ability to send alerts by email. This worked fine when we still used a W2K server but now we have to send mail from Linux to an Exchange client.
Our entire mailsystem runs on Exchange 5.5 on a NT4 SP6a server with Outlook 2000 on the clients.
Both the mailserver and the linuxserver are in the same network and same location.
Oracle uses sendmail as default but when I do a test with sendmail, the mail does not arrive in the Outlook mailbox.
We are just learing the Linux environment so I need some help with this.
I don't want to receive mail on the linux server but only send it to the Exchange client.
Anyone knows how to do this ? Do I need to configure Linux or Exchange or both ?
Thanks a lot.
Richard
