Send email From Oracle 8

Can anyone tell me , how can i send a email from Oracle 8 (procedure), i now that in Oracle 8i i can use the UTL_SMTP package.

Basically, you can't. However, if you use UTL_FILE to write out your email to a file, you can use operating system utilities to send it.
