Send calls to a mailbox with a button 1

I have an IPO 5.0 w/embedded vm. It is setup like a key system where all phones ring when the main number rings. I have x201 set up as a mailbox if no one answers the main number a message gets left on x201. I'm trying to put a button on the phone so the phones won't ring and the calls will directly to to the mailbox on 201?

Put all the phones in a DND time profile. Then voicemail should still pick it up for 201.

Can't do much with line appearances.

There is you problem right there. see FAQ940-7663
Program the IPO correctly* & you will find it far more flexible.

*As in the way it is designed to operate & not work-a-rounds for users who insist that the new system works just like the old whilst requesting new features that the old could not achieve.

I didn't want them to park calls for just 5 phones.

They wouldn't need to, they could just transfer the call to the person it's for

Q) What actual difference to a user is there between pressing a park key to suspend a call before it is picked up elsewhere compared to doing the same thing with a line key?

A) None, but the system can make use of its routing capabilities to re-route calls as required before the are answered.

When I put the phone in the hunt group and add the set hunt group out of service button on the phone, the phones still ring?

Yes they will ring but if you wait until the 2 rings are up then it goes to the hunt group mailbox

If you have left the line appearence keys they will still ring, as mentioned they are to replace the routing capability of the PABX really not to be used with it

I did a work around with the hunt groups, I put phantom extensions in the HG and made bridge appearances on the phones. Now they ring like a key system.... thanks for all of your help
