Our reception desk are finding that too many people have their phones set with send-calls on. This makes it very difficult to transfer callers who want to speask to a person rather than voicemail. The frequency is so high that it is causing problems. I know that in an intercom group you can use a button to override it but you can only have so many extensions in the group. Is there any way the attendant can force a call to the phone even when the send-calls is on?

Thanks

You can program a button "override". Press this button and you will hear dialtone. Press the extension number and it will ring normally.

I'm not sure, but priority call, overrides Send calls either?

The "override" button worked great

Thanks!

If priority call is set on YES in the COS, this will work also but it's not meant for this.
Think of what will happen when there's really a priority call. No one will do something with it.

You can also assign a Priority Calling Access Code. (Page 3 on the feature Access Code Admin Page). When you dial the FAQ, then the extension you are calling, it will break through the SAC and even ring a second line appearance if your caller is on their first line and restricted to only having one active line appearance.
I am not sure what version Priority calling was added, but I know it works in R9.5
