Send Calls Button

I have a question about a send calls button!
I thought that if you program a button to send calls and put the extension beside the button all the calls will go to the ext that was ssigned to the button?
Example: If I call extension 8112 and this extension has a send calls button programmed to 8489 that all the calls to 8112 will go to 8489 as long as the button is selected?

The send-calls button sends the calls to your coverage path (usually voice-mail). You can change you CP to point to an extension if you like but a better way to do it might be using call forward.

If I wanted calls to ring to 8489 instead of my ext: 8112 how ould you suggest?
Currently the cov path is set to go to audix h1 for 8112.

i would just use a call-fwd button to send calls to 8489. That would be the easiest.
