Selected pages from Word disappearing instead of printing.

Hello,

Several users, running Win2000 Pro and Office 97, when printing selected pages from a word document, e.g. pages 7-9 of a nine page document, the documents show up in the print queue, disappear but are then never printed.

This has happened printing to three seperate network printers.

If the user prints the entire document it prints OK. Any ideas?

Are there any section breaks in the document? If so, you would have to use p#s#, p#s# convention.

Example p2s3,p3s4
wehre you are asking Word to print from page 2 in section 3 to page 3 in section 4.

Unfortunately the documents that are having the problem have no section breaks in them, but I will use your suggestion for future reference.

What are the printers on your workstation set up as. Also, what printer are you using? WHat printer driver are you using? Is it only happening to this one document or others?

The printers are all network printers, either using HP JetDirect or have internal network cards.

The printers the problem has occured on are 2 x HP LaserJet 2200 and a HP Colour Laserjet 4550, the users are all using the HP drivers that came with the printers.

The problem has occured on 5 or 6 word documents.

You may want to check the HP drivers. I have an old HP 2500CM which would drop documents(not certain pages) and I updated the driver and it seemed to cure the problem.
