Select / Modify Expand equivalent....

Hi:

In Photoshop I can create some text, select it (marching ants) go to Modify / Expand select the size and I now have an expanded selection.

Is there any way to do this in Illustrator? Scaling is not the same.

HI,

I don't know what you want to achieve but maybe this is a solution.

Type your text > Select with black arrow > Menu "Effects" > PATH > Offset Path

and make your choice.

Is this it or do you want something else, then explain what you want to do and somene will find a solution.
