I have a select box with over 3000 options. What I am wanting to do is if the user types a "h" then the list goes to the begining of the h's. Then if they press "o" it will go to the first occurance of "ho" in the list, and so on.

I am needing this to work in IE and Netscape.

I have found a couple of options that allow you to do this with a text box before the select box, but I would prefer not to have to use the text box.

If any one can help me out that would be great! I am including the link to the page I have checked out so you will have an idea what I am trying to do.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help, but that won't work properly as I am getting the values from a file on our AS/400. Then using Net.Data, I am creating a select box.

So therefore I can't use javascript to popluate the listbox.

Thanks for the help anyway!
