select and update in single query

Hi All,
I trying to update a record after a select statement in an ASP.NET 2 page, however i can't get the update command work when the page is load.

The only thing i can think of is running the UPDATE with the select statement.

Is it possible?
P.S
I'm using an access DB.

Set the CommandType to StoredProcedure and execute it in the same way that you execute your SQL Statement.

Ok, I inserted the command into the update command and set it up as StoredProcedure.
However when the page loads the filed in the table is not updating.

I think i miss the part that makes the update command fire.
Do you know how do i make it fire at the same time that i use the select statement ?

Sorry to be a pain but i upgrading my site from ASP to ASP.NET and everything is new for me at the moment.
