Have an oddball situation. We are going to allow one of our clients to remote observe calls that come in on their dedicated toll-free group. We are going to allow them one hour per day to monitor. I've got the vector all set up properly to enter observe on one VDN only for that hour of day. However, once they enter it, isn't it true they can stay on the line to listen to one call after another? So, how could I bounce them off after their hour is up? Or do they have to redial into the system to listen to the next call? Is there a command that will let you see what service observing is currently going on the system?

Thanks,
Bill

I would set them up with a remote-access code with only 1 connection that expire on a daily basis. I'm not on my switch right now, but you can have 10 I believe. So create 5 for 1 week, expiring each day. Then on Friday afternoon change the 5 and create 5 new ones, etc...

Just a thought.

Thanks,
CJH

that's not my problem, the current vector allows them only to connect within one hour each day without requiring any remote access codes

my problem is how to know whether anyone is currently service observing

If you status the trunk group (status trunk xx) and see more than 1 connected port, it is a good indication of being service observed. It could be a conference as well though... but if you look at the port in question you'll know....

thanks,

Interesting, I'd like to see how the vector is set up.
