I have this strange problem. I'm running coldfusion MX
on my Win2k server and IIS 5.0. For some reason when I
run a .cfm file on my localhost:
all I see is a BLANK Page.
When I view the source, I see this:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC &quot;-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0
Transitional//EN&quot;>
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content=&quot;text/html;
charset=windows-1252&quot;></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>

I can't run cf administrator or call any ColdFusion
File. I don't know what's happenning, it was all
working last week. I've checked the IIS App Mappings,
and I see the .cfm, .cfc, .cfml and .jsp application
mappings for my default website.

I can run a .html and a .asp file, its just
coldfusion.

Can somebody tell me how to fix this problem. I'm just
stranded and don't know what to do.

Cheers
Allan

I know you hate hearing this because I hate when people say this (and believe me, I wouldn't be saying this if I knew another answer), but we ran into the same problem here before and ended up having to reinstall the server. Not just ColdFusion - the whole darn thing. We tried everything you have mentioned above, as well as reinstalling CF, and nothing worked. The only difference is that we were not running MX - we were running CF 5.0 Server at the time. The best explanation I can give is that it looked like the CF and IIS web services weren't &quot;talking to each other&quot; right. You may want to keep hunting for an answer, but I thought I'd go ahead and tell you what we ended up doing in case you wanted to go ahead and bite the bullet and reinstall now to save that time (though I do wish you good luck in the search, and I'd love to hear if you DO find another solution just in case it happens to us again).

thanks Nagrom for your sweet reply. I want to give it another try before I reinstall the software. I am now getting an error when I try to start the &quot;ColdFusion MX ODBC Agent&quot; and &quot;ColdFusion MX ODBC Server&quot; Services.

'Could not start the Coldfusion MX odbc server service on local computer. The service did not return and error . This Could be an internal windows error or an internal service error if the problem persisits , contact your system administrator'

Any ideas?
