Hi
I have a switchboard in place and although I have created security which enables only read access to some staff I find they can still click on a button on the switchboard that others need to use to get into the data entry side. Of course once there they only have read access but I want them to click on the button and be told they do not have permission. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Thanks

Jeff

You could try opening the object in edit mode and see if an error is generated that you can capture and trigger an error message:-

DoCmd.OpenForm "Form1", , , , acFormEdit
