I am having a problem with sending emails from an outside source to the exchange server. Everything was working fine before, but now for some reason when I try to send an email to the server, an error message comes back stating the following:

Any idea what is going on here. it looks to be that my server is blocking the email?

You could be on their blocked list for whatever reason, or you Revers DNS is not correct etc..

You may try to contact them in another way to check.

I am able to send the mail locally. So as long as I am sending the mail on a local computer they using my email on mydomain.net, then it works without a problem. But once I try to send something from an outside address, it fails with that error message. I don't remember changing anything inorder to make it do this. All other services on the server seem to be working without any problems. The server is running Windows Server 2003 SMB with Exchange Server 2003. Like I said before, it was working fine and was able to send from any email address.

BTW...I also created a new user (exchange mailbox) and tried that, did not work. So I am assuming there has to be a global item that is blocking the emails and I can not seem to find it.

Ok, found problem. I was only allowing authorized access to the SMTP connector. I guess when this is done, it does not allow any other server to send mail to it without a username and password. I disable the password and username requirment and it works fine.
