I was trying to create a work group for certain Access database(which I set up the password), but the problem now is whenever I need to open other unsecured database, the log on form still pops up for me(even I join default workgroup system.mdw). How can I get rid of this? Please help!
Thanks in advance!

You've put a password on the Admin user of your default MDW file.

If you don't know what the password is the easiest thing to do is to delete the current default MDW (make sure you're attached to it but Access isn't open when you do this) and then start MS Access. Access will create a new default MDW file when it cannot find one.

I deleted the default system.mdw, but the log on still pops up. There's no password, but it's very annoying whenever I try to open an unsecured database.
Thanks!

If you created a workgroup, then that will likely now be your default .mdw.

Do a ?dbengine.systemdb in debug window to see what it really is.

Use the workgroup administrator to rejoin a new default. For db's that are secured, use a command line pointing to the secured .mdw.
