Is is possible to limit a users access to part of a table?

I want to have a consolidated organization wide listing of customers, but I want to limit each division to just changing their own data. The users need to be able to view other organizations data but they cannot change it.

I would prefer to not have a separate table for each division - too many.

Suggestions?

Hallo,

One way to do this would be to code the form to check a users rights before allowing them to edit a form.

This would only be appropriate if the data was always accessed by a form, and is not very secure.

Maybe have a viewing form and an editing button. If the record can be edited then the edit button makes the form editable, otherwise not.
