Security for Local DNS

I'm a little confused. If I have a DNS server on my local LAN and I configure forwarders, does that forward machine name IP address information from my local LAN to my ISP's DNS servers for caching as well?

No, it only forwards requests for name resolution that it can not find in it's local zones. Marc Creviere
