Hi All,

We have a hot desking facility which requires users to have a security code entered (parameter visable on add or change station commands).

What i need to do is get a print which will show me the stations which have a security code assigned. This parameter does not show up on a List Station command.

any ideas?

umm,it IS supposed to do that, right??

You can try exporting the data in ASA, filter by security code and use a range of numbers like 1 - 999999 or whatever you think will capture all the codes. We don't use security codes here so I can't really test this.

Hi Donbott,

none of the list type commands i've been able to run include the security code as a parameter that is output. So even if i export a List Extension or List Station command into excel it does not include the info i need.

Just for more clarity, there is only one security code used for all extension numbers with this facility so all i'm looking for is an indication they have one or don't.

Reason behind this is clean up of the system before upgrade is done.

I'm using ASA, normally going in using GEDI

Don't use GEDI, under advanced there is export data.

Set this up while you are not connected to the switch.

Click export data, object station, field security code, filter "*" without the quotes. Next page pick security first ,then station, and name if you want that.
I export to my desktop the file shows up as a notepad document. Set the field delimiter to space and the text delimiter to none. The hit next until the program starts. I gave myself a security code and set this up. The asterisk is necessary, and the delimiters make it easy to read. Stations with a security code show up with the *

unfortunatly we can't have auto connect set up here which it needs for reports.

Thanks for your help though..... think i'll have to do this the slow way... still there's only 150 of that phone type here
