Here's a weird one, and I don't know if its more relevant to post this in exchange 2003 or in windows 2000 ad admin.. but here goes.

I just got a blackberry and added myself to our BES. All is well. I then realized I could get mail but could not send... wtf. I remember that I need to add the bes admin account we have into the security tab under my AD account so it can have send as permissions thanks to exchange 2003 sp1(or 2) not sure whatever is the latest patch set we just installed... anyways, here's whats happening.. every time I add in the BES admin, or any account for that matter, into the securities tab... it keeps resetting the values back to what was already in there(domain admins etc...) the box is unchecked for allow propegation to this account(had been before I changed it) and even if I check it still a no go.

The WEIRD thing is... it seems to only be happening on my account. I've added the same BESadmin into other blackberry users accounts and everything worked fine and the acct stays in the security tab.

The only thing I can think of is, a few weeks ago I did have to run dbclean against my mailbox to allow for all blackberry information to get purged from it(had a duplicate pin conflict with another unit) and needed to wipe it. The only thing I can think of is somehow this has prevented me from adding in any accounts to my security tab. The odd thing is I did not run this on our exchange server, but rather on my desktop, and I would've thought it would've been just a one time change. It's quite strange. I'm at the point where I'm ready to just delete my mailbox and start with a new mailbox... but that's getting a bit extreme. Any and all thoughts would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
-Derek

THANK YOU!

It didn't help that I discovered this problem at midnight and stayed up till 3am spinning cycles on what kind of bizarre windows phenomenon could be causing this.

Thanks a billion, that's exactly what I needed
