Hi All,

I run a small business and provide remote access to all my employees so they can get into their work computers at home. I use the LogMeIn software to enable this.

However I have concerns about the mismanagement of passwords by my staff. They are not the most techie bunch, so they chose very easy passwords to break. I don't want them to have to use hard to remember passwords and would like them to use their own personal passwords. So how do I make it more secure?

Also I really don't feel that secure just using passwords to authenticate my staff. I trust then with the sensitive material they have access to. But not the security of my systems against hackers.

Antonio:

Have you tried 2-factor authentication to increase the security for remote access?

Hi Ameliacorn.

No I haven't.

What does 2-factor authentication mean? Also can you give me a number of different solutions to provide this authentication please, that would help in making a choice.

Thanks.
