Hi,
I got an Exchange server up running - it works fine with both sending and receiving, but how can I secure that no-one else, except the users existing in Active Directory can send mails out through my SMTP ???
I want to prevent spamming on this server.

Regards,
Morten

HI.

Check the relay restrictions in the SMTP configuration (System Manager - ..... - Protocols - SMTP)
By default configuration relay is blocked, but it is a good idea to verify it.

You can check relay blocking using outlook express - configure it to send mails via your exchange SMTP server.

Try to send an email to an internal recipient - you should get it (this is not relay).
Try to send an email to an external address - this should be blocked.

Bye
