HI there,
I have been working on a fairly simple database - and it is tested and ready for implementation. I have followed a lot of the postings on security etc.
MY question is , Is there a simple, straightforward way to password protect the db. The system will be used by two of the staff. The database holds sensitive data so I am keen on password protecting it.. BUt there are times when I know itchy , bitsy fingers learn of the F11 trick and try to get behind the scenes to meddle with the design even if the database window is disabled.
The 2 people who will use the system are the the secratary ( the data input clerk) , the other the manager who will be responsible for keeping current the client and the staff tables "Resources".
I wld like to restrict access to this RESOURCE and CLIENT tables and allow only the manager to use it. Is there a way to assign password for this person. the secretary shd be able to see and input data using the other forms etc. but be restrcited from the 2 tables mentioned.
I love this forum which is so informative, and no school is ever going to = the expertise that abounds here.
Thanks in advance.
Usha
