I used secure login to add porducts. Now the FrontPage part of my site (no relation to Miva) loads with SSL. Any idea how to stop this from happening.

I went to the link you supplied above, plus a few pages linked from there, and it did not come up in SSL mode. -----------------

Try closing all of your browser sessions and restarting your browser, then going to your site as a regular visitor and see if it tries to connect via SSL. -----------------
