This is a rookie question. How do I keep the details section and a summary from a group footer from being seperated by page breaks?

When you are in design view, what you can do is to click in the grey area of the group header and select Change Group. When the options box appears, you can then place a check in the Keep Group together option. This way if there is not enough room on the page for the group, it will start on the next page.
