Section Expert - Suppression Formula disappears

I'm running CR10 and am trying to put a suppression formula on the detail section of the report. I open the section expert, click on the suppression formula box and enter the formula, click save and exit. But if I go back into section expert, the formula is no longer there? Anyone have a clue as to why the formula is not being retained?

Do you have more than one detail section? There can be an overall suppression formula and a formula for each individual section, e.g. all details and detaila, detailb etc.

No, just one detail section. It's not just the formula either, if I check the suppress box, it does the same thing; disappears as soon as I save it. The report will refresh with the suppression formula, but if I refresh it again, it reverts back to the original format.
