Using Cr8.5 I have two subreports in the main report.
One is "labor" the second is "parts" I am trying to drill down these sections to make the report a summary of all totals. Why would hiding the section that the subreport is in change my totals ex. labor cost? In the subreport itself, I have all of the sections hidden, but when i try to hide the sections in the main report, it changes my totals. This may be too little information to work with.
Appreciate any help

I seem to recall that the subreport must be displayed for it to work.

The trick was to shrink it down as much as possible and then alter any fonts to white on white.

I rarely use subreports as they're very inefficient, perhaps someone else here will elaborate.

You can't hide or suppress the section that the subreport is in in the main report. However, you can suppress all sections within a subreport and resize it in the main report to make it small (remove the borders, too).
