Secretary and Two Bosses

Okay,

SO I have a new secretary who is now supporting two folks.

She wants all calls to the bosses to ring on her phone as well.

I have set up Appr&rRing for the boss' extensions in her LineAccess.
But this appears to only be working internally. If I dial eithet boss from another handset, the secretary and the boss phone rings. However, if I dial from my cell, or even dial 9 then the direct line, only the boss phone rings.

Did I miss a step?

The best way to have the Boss' line ring on the secretary's phone is to setup an Answer DN. This will bypass potential problems of private lines, direct-dial, etc.

Right, so secretary is at set 290.
Terminal&Sets>290>Line Access>Answer DSs>Boss1: Appr&Ring and Boss2: Appr&Ring

Is there something I have missed?

Try Term & sets 290 show line access, next to ans dn, put boss 1 (dn) boss 2 (dn) this will give you ring & apperance for all calls to those stations.

That is currently the configuration, which works internally, dialing their extensions, but when dialing from outside, the call rings only at boss1 or boss2.

We have a similar configuration with a cordless phone which rings when our main extension is dialed internally, or externally. The only difference I can find is that the line assignment is Public to the main extension, but PVT>Boss1 and Boss2.

Any suggestions for changing private to public?

i have seen where answer dn's are delayed upto 2 rings...if its older software we used to make exec a/r on admin sets and have a answer dn for internals....then make sure exec fna is set to 3 rings and admin set to 4
