Secondary Zone not Loading Zone File

Hi

I have a active-directory zone created on the pdc and on the remote end og my tunnel I have a secondary zone created. my problem lies in the fact that the info from the active directory zone is not being replicated to the secondary. I tried deleting the secondary and re-creating the zone and that didn't work. They are no errors being logged in the Event Viewer. I also tried performing the Transfer from Master option and that also did not help.

Does anyone have any suggestions to rectify this problem.

Check the Zone Transfer tab on the master.

Check that zone transfers are enable then check that which servers are allowed to copy the zone. You might need to add your IP of the secondary in here or change it to "to any server"

Also check there is no typo in the spelling on the domain on the secondary server.

Hi

I have stated who is the master at the seondary.

I am using two Windows 2000 Servers. I have tried deleting the secondary zone and recreating it but to no avail. The DNS server on the primary server is not logging any errors, however the secondary server is logging the following errors:

Event Id - 4015, 4011, 6534, 6527.

The AD zone and secondary zone both have the same name. I stopped the DNS service on the secondary and primary zone and it pulled in a zone file. However upon checking the information I realised that the zone is out of date. The serial number on the Primary is 1720 and on the secondary 1666. THe zone transfer tab has the IP address of the seondary server listed.

Is there anything I am missing. What can I do to solve this problem/
