I have hundreds of documents in a TIFF format. I was wondering if anybody knew of a program that i could make it so, i could search the files for specifc text within the document? Is this possible?

Thanks James

Hi,

TIF (Tagged IMAGE Format) files are IMAGES, not DOCUMENTS.

You may need to scan the image using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software.

Not may need...WILL need OCR. A TIFF of a sunset and a TIFF of text both the same...images. If you want to get some recognition of text out of the image, then you will need OCR software.
