If your searching for accounts or contacts in outlook and none exist, but when searching for accounts or contacts in CRM it exist. Why is there a descrepency there?
It is possible that your sync rules are not tranferring data down to the Outlook client. So while you can see data in the web client you cannot see any in the outlook client simply because the sync rule has been told not to transfer data.
