SEARCH FOR FILES does not work

I have recently discovered three problem with my W2K:
1. "Search for files and folders" does not work anymore.
2. I get a "Internet Explorer Script Error" when opening OutLook 2000.
3. When I open c:\Program Files or C:|WinNT folders I get A "Internet Explorer script error, library not registered (folder.htt)"

I must have a corrupt DLL somewhere. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Cashew, I feel for you...the exact same thing has happened to my Win 2K machine, along with another nasty problem. The accounting program that I really need to install gets hung up right at the very start...it seems Installshield needs a certain file, can't copy it, and anyway, it says "Interface not registered". I've talked to numerous techs, and they never heard about this one before. To add insult to injury, the program installed beautifully on my home computer which runs Win XP Home.

I'm not sure if this is a Win 2K problem, or a corrupted file, but it looks like my computer needs a brain transplant.

The quickest way to solve your problem is to download InstallShield's LargeISEngineUpdate from here:-

After you reboot, retry your install.

If it still fails, click on this link and follow the directions for NT4/2000
