Search engine historic

How can I remove the historic of a search engine? Example: on Google, I can see all that I've searched before when clicking on the search tab.

Thanks for the help you can give.

tools -> internet options -> content tab -> auto complete -> clear forms/clear passwords

For Google have you tried clicking on the Word "Google" (if you have the Google Toolbar) and then on "Clear Search History"?
