Hello all, first I want to let everyone know I am new to this system and site. I put in the telephone system and added some pc's to their network, but I am not a network manager, I am only trying to help them out.
I have a windows 2000 server with a Seagate stt8000a SCSI drive and Backup exec. On July 4th it tried to run the backup, but stopped because of a tape error, it says. Ever since then, it comes up with an internal error, first four numbers are 05-20, which is translated to needing a updated firmware (I checked, I am on 5.51) or troubleshoot the SCSI interface.
I have tried different tapes, with no luck. I put in a new tape, and it ran for 10 minutes or so and never stopped on its own, like it was looking for something and could not find it.
Does anyone have a suggestion of what I should do or look at?
