Seagate 2.0f 2nd tape unabel to retrieve data

I have dumped 8gb across two tapes - it will not restore anything of tape two - the data is there but it only gives me a directory structure with zero files - this has happened on two separate 8gb dumps and i need to restore the data of the second tape - can anybody help
