Will Ultra SCSI Drive talk to a Ultra2 SCSI card?

If you are talking about an old SCSI hard drive, then the answer is no. Different connectors.

Do you know of an adapter that would make it possible for the ultra drive to connect to the ultra2 card or are the pipelines too dissimilar

Not that I know of. I am not saying there is not one out there, I just don't know of one. Sorry.
