Hi all,

I am trying to set up a cluster on two servers that have scsi connections to an external HD rack. The servers also have internal SCSI hd's that are on the same card, but a different channel. They can both access the HD rack with just 2003 installed (not at the same time though) but when I create a cluster, it says it cannot manage HDs that are on the same storage bus.

Is there any way around this? If there isn't, can 2000 Advanced Server handle this set up?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

The shared bus has different rules (is using SCSI reservation protocol), and cannot be used for the local storage.
As the error is saying you need different SCSI busses.

You were absolutely right. Dell set the servers up wrong when they sent them to us.

Thanks for the reply!
