Hi,

I know this has been discussed in the Citrix Users Forums, but there are no definite answers that I found so I thought I'd ask this community.

When my users connect to Excel on my NT4 TSE, MF 1.8 server (IBM eServer 1G ram, 1 x 1.4gz P3) and they scroll down or sideways, then Excel goes far beyond where they intend to go. It just goes wild, as if the server was way too fast in serving the request and the client not fast enought to display it before it's too late. I have this problem on my older client workstation (less than 300mhz), mine is running fine at 400mhz.

The Forum suggested to look at the following:
-Disable feedback with animation in Excel: done
-Disable Compression in my Application set: done
-Changing the mouse motion to the slowest: done
-Client setup not to use the bitmap cache: done
-Try using a desktop instead of published apps: done
-No mouse queuing in the client: done
-In Internet Explorer, disable Smooth Scrolling: done
-Disable ICA Data compression: done
-Use the RDP client: Done

All these didn't solve my problem.

Anyone has any answers for me please?

Thanks!

Are you using the latest client?

Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration on the older machine?

Reducing the client resolution?

Hope one of these helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to answer!

First to CitrixEngineer: I'm using the latest english win32 client from citrix (downloaded last thuesday). One of my client had an odd problem with upside down icons and to solve that one, I had to stop using hardware acceleration on that client, and it still has the excel problem, so that's not it. I'll try reducing the workstation to 256 colors but I doubt this will do.

Second for Ogi: Do I import the reg file on the server side, or the client side?

Thanks!

Followup:

I have tried both yesterday but neither worked. :(

Anything else I could try?

Thanks!

Hi,

The reg file is for the server, I must admit, I can't turn the smooth scroll for Excel, all my page up/down, dragging the scroll bars work without any problems, try importing the file, log out, log in and try again!

Sorry for not helping further!

Cheers,
Carl.
