Scrolling images with mouse movement

I'm new to this forum, but I want to say that you guys have been a great help to me already. Thanks.

I am trying to put together a strip of adjacent thumbnail pictures that will scroll to the left when the mouse moves to the right, and vice versa. Each picture would ideally serve as a button.

Any tips on how to code this?
