Scrollbars within a table 1

Is it possible to make scrollbars within a table that has size limits? Is there anyway to go about this if not, without getting into frames?

Layers "would" work if I had a corner-designed site, but it doesn't float when you have a centered webpage.

Inline frames don't use my background that I need to show.

I don't know much about them, but from what I've been messing with, I can't get it to do what I want. Any other suggestions?

Thoe99, just rememeber that iFrames only work in IE4+ and NS6+ (and not in NS 4x) and in Opera... I have not failed; I have merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...
