Hi

Could someone please tell me whether it is possible to change the screensaver which is being used without accessing the display properties dialogue box. I have had a look in the win.ini, control.ini and registry but cannot find any reference to it.

The reason I ask is because I have a screensaver which needs to be deployed across a network. When the user logs on the file will be copied and the screensaver will be set as default. However we would like to avoid visiting each individual computer to make this change.

Many thanks
Chris

You could create a shortcut to the screensaver on the desktop (or anywhere), and have it run via taskmanager at a given time each day...not sure if this is what you're after though. Cheers,
Jim

I've sorted this out now. You have to write a line in the system.ini file under the [boot] section:

SCRNSAVE.EXE=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\****.SCR

and make sure that registry keys are set to enable the screensaver and relevant time delay before it starts.
