I am running a home security H/W card in one of my PCs (XP-OS). The security setup of the cameras are motion activated and then recorded. No motion - no recording.

If I am on my desktop doing another task, I can set an interrupt to see what motion has occurred.

However, if I set up my screensaver, it will not disengage when the security software sees motion and sets the interrupt. It stills records but the LCD only sees screensaver. No joy!

I have turned off my logon .scr through regedit but I don't want the image to burn into the LCD.
Any suggestions?

Thanks linney about LCD persistence info. Good to know.
I wanted to display a fish tank screensaver and have the LCD display the security window upon movement...then reset to fish tank. The screen locations (2 LCD's - split video signal) are front entry and upstairs computer room.

I can't help much with the screensaver interrupt, have you spoken to the security video manufacturer to see if their program can be made to "steal focus" from this screensaver?

Somebody else might have an idea about involving a script or batch file solution to make the screensaver stop, the hard part will be linking it all together.

Linney,
I tried online to their website (Lorex) with very little help to no success.
So I tried the best place in town: Tek-tips
