Hi

This is a very simple problem I am sure however I cannot find anywhere an option to add a screensaver that is an image that I have created and saved.

I have Windows 2000 Pro and to get to the 'Screensaver options' I simply right-click on the desktop and go to "Properties" and then click the tab: "Screensaver". However there is only a limited drop down list of screensavers to choose from. There is no "browse" option for adding a userdefined screensaver. I need to find an option of adding my image to the desktop as the screensaver if this is possible. I can add the image to the desktop background no problem, but adding it as a screensaver seems much harder.

Thank you very much for any help.

As far as I know a screen saver is a different type of object and normally ends in a .scr
The reason for a screensaver is to stop the same image staying on the screen and thus damaging it. If your picture were to be the screen saver it would not move around and hence not really be a screensaver.
I dont think you'll be able to do this.

kippy13 is right. In order for you to use your own image as a screensaver you'd have to find, download and install a screensaver program that allows you to use your own images. There are numerous slide show screensaver programs out there, probably lots of free ones too. As kippy13 said, having just one image for a screensaver would defeat the whole purpose of it unless it moved around.

Try going to Download.com and search for screensavers there. You'll probably be overwhelmed with the number you find there. You're bound to find some useful free ones. Just remember, don't ever attempt to install screensavers from unsolicited email, it's probably a virus!

XP has a Picture slide-show screensaver built in. But not 2000.

Thanks for all your answers. Much appreciated.
