To accomplish an unrelated task (not important), I need to have a Screen Saver option of: Channel Screen Saver in the drop down where Starfield, etc. are located... the problem is is that it is not there... is this possibly a setting that has been turned off by an admin?

Make sure you have the Channel .scr file in your System32 folder. If it's not there, you won't be able to see it in the dropdown. Is the Channel screen saver even available in Win2K and above?

No it's not there - how would I get it there? not sure about your last question....

The channel screensaver was removed from Windows after Windows 98. You would have to find the channel.scr from the internet/an old win98 machine. I can't promise that that screensaver will even work on the winxp OS. But that is you're only choice...I'm not even gonna ask why you need that screensaver to do ANYTHING.

Hope this Helps.

ncotton, thanks for verifying that for me, I thought I was going insane LOL

Cone....Have you tried the screensaver creation programs that let you specify active content for screensavers?

Hope this Helps.

That may be the way I have go, but is not the easiest option... I would rather just do it myself, if possbile...

you need to find someone with a Win98 machine and steal the scr....Like I said, I'm not sure if it will work on XP, I would guess it would, but there is a chance

Hope this Helps.
