I'm setting up several stand-alone WinXP Pro stations with a single user signon.
There is an app that we use that requires screen resolution at 1024 by 768.
Every time I log into the station, the screen resets itself to the max resolution the monitor will handle (1280 by 1024). It's no big deal to reset manually, but my users aren't happy about the inconvenience.
Just FYI...the same thing happens to the Administrator account and a separate test account created with administrative rights.
All SPs and hotfixes listed on Microsoft's site have been applied as of today.
