In my windows 2003 server, i've configure 2 different DHCP scopes.

I wish to use one for the internal device (192.168.16.X/24)
and the other one for the VPN client (192.168.20.X/24)
is it possible to choice a DHCP scope for VPN client?

I know that it is possible to configure the scope on VPN server, but i don't want to use it, i prefer to use the scope configured in DHCP.Do you know if there is this possibility?

P.S. The DHCP server and VPN server are on the same machine.

Best Regards,

Claudio.

how are they coming in through VPN? are they using RRAS? RRAS will automatically assign IPs from teh DHCP scope and reserve tehm for RRAS if i remember correctly

the configuration to get your dhcp server to assign the IPs through a hardware VPN device would still need to be dealt with on teh VPN device itself, as you would need to redirect (if possible) the DHCP requests

yoru eaiest routes are to use the VPN devices DHCP service and give a similar IP scheme in the same subnet (or a different altogether and build a route to each other), or use RRAS
