Hello,

My SCO UNIX 3.2v5.05 server reboots every 9 hours.

Does anyone have any clues as to what the issue maybe or how to fix this issue?

Any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Is it crashing or is it shutting down, anything in the boot logs?

Is it EXACTLY 9 hours, or exactly the same amount of up time to the minute?

It sounds to me like it's some process being run by cron every 9 hours, or, a running background program has a memory leak and causes the reboot when it consumes all RAM.

Examine /usr/adm/messages and /usr/adm/syslog for any messages that might be a clue, and check the cron list with crontab -l.

Have any programs or scripts been modified around the time the rebooting started?

Does the system reboot over the weekend (if it's not in use)?
