SCN Reboot

I have experienced several occasions of the link between 2 IPOs dropping and call to IPO 2 call covering to Centralized VMP and VMP not being available. No Big Deal, but after the link is back up, the IPO 2 dosen't know that IPO 1 exists. It acts like once the link is down and it cant see the other end, it quits trying to get there. I have to reboot both switches to get it to work again. I know VPN is not the best way to SCN, but customer had the vpn and won't spend the extra for a more reliable link. Does anyone have an alternative to the reboot to get the two talking again?

Do you have shortcodes for extension dialing between the sites?

1xxx;
1N
(IP trunk to site 2)
Dial

2xxx;
2N
(IP trunk to site 1)
Dial


At least with this in place you can dial extensions between sites and your DIDs should work. Never tried to get the directories to re-sync outside of a reboot so I can't help you there.
