In one of our classrooms task sheduler doesn't give us an option to browse and select any task except the installed programs in the list. Or if I add new task from r-click then the window for the task path is greyed out.

We used WinAT instead, but why would that happen in the first place?

did this by chance just start happening about the time sp3 was installed? when i did mine just this last week it killed my networking completly. for the most aprt the rest of the system was fine other than i could get on the net or browse the network. i ended up reinstalling win2k and applied the patch first thing. it all works fine now.

Well, we don't use scheduler on a daily basis. We schedule shutdown once a semester and that's it. But it did first happen after installing SP3. But only on one out of 5 types of workstations. Dell dimension something, couple of years old, PIII 800, 815 chipset.
