Hey all,

We've been having a problem where our server will pop up a message on the console that says "A Schedule 'work to do' took over one minute to run." The server then freezes up and no one is able to log in, nor are we able to move between screens or type anything into the server. The only way to regain control of the server is to reboot.

We are running N6 with sp3 installed.

Thanks

Charles

Did you find this TID when you search

cause
This problem occurs when a process takes more than one minute on the processor creating a bottleneck problem. This error can also be accompanied by CPU HOG Timeout abends. Any NLM that takes over control of the processor and will not relinquish it can cause this type of problem. When dealing specifically with backups, many problems stem from the disk channel itself.

fix
Check the disk/tape channel (drivers, BIOS revisions, cables, and hardware).
